So you have got into university, something that probably isn’t top of your list is student bank accounts. The bank account you have now possibly isn’t the right option for you when in higher education as it will not have the necessary features required for you when in university. Like an overdraft or freebies that you wouldn’t get if you didn’t switch to a student account. Getting an overdraft is always a good option. Many student bank accounts offer 0% overdraft. Overdrafts can be scary to many but on occasions it may help your cash flow. Therefore, many banks do offer 0% overdraft, most students aim to get the biggest and longest guaranteed 0% limit, as this will help you throughout your time at university in case loans or accommodation don’t arrive on time or in case you buy too many drinks at the bar one night. Forget about going abroad, why not spend summer in Newcastle? It has everything you need, from a beach to spending the day at the movies! And not forgetting a nightlife like no other! So, who needs to spend money on a holiday when you have everything right here in the North East. Lets go to the beach In the summer, Newcastle magically gains another beach (well technically!). Newcastle brings out the Spanish side of the Toon, by creating a man-made beach directly on the Quayside. It’s beautifully golden sands attract everyone to the Quayside, with activities to do for all ages! There are 100 deckchairs for the relaxers, volleyball for the athletes, and buckets and spades for the children. There is something to do for everyone! A great, free day out, directly in the heart of Newcastle! If you are looking for a more life-size beach, then don’t worry, the coast has many to offer. Our personal favourite is Tynemouth. A great day out, especially when the sun is shining! It offers a great seaside town, with many things to do for all! A nice walk up to the lighthouse is a must, taking in all the views. For a more educational trip, […]

When you wake up the next morning and realise that you shouldn’t have gone out because you now have a mountain of work to do 3. When you feel like you get on top of the work but you forgot about that one last essay 4. So when you eventually start the new work, your frustration with Microsoft word begins all over again 5. And then you remember you should have done enough work to pass the module anyway 6. But then you remember that for part of the module you have to work as part of a group 7. Your lecturer still doesn’t understand the speed at which you take down notes 8. And then you get so annoyed about this lecture […]
